The truth is that the more intimately you know someone, the more clearly you’ll see their flaws. That’s just the way it is. This is why marriages fail, why children are abandoned, why friendships don’t last. You might think you love someone until you see the way they act when they’re out of money or under pressure or hungry, for goodness’ sake. Love is something different. Love is choosing to serve someone and be with someone in spite of their filthy heart. Love is patient and kind, love is deliberate. Love is hard. Love is pain and sacrifice, it’s seeing the darkness in another person and defying the impulse to jump ship.

Three things are necessary for the salvation of man: to know what he ought to believe; to know what he ought to desire; and to know what he ought to do.

snap, snap, motherfucker.
The thing about sadness is that it never warns you that it will come back. You’ll end up with an aching heart again, minutes after laughing, and it will feel like you found someone in your house; someone who you thought had left.

For the record
1. Started using the My Fitness Pal app. 1230 cals per day if I want to reach a decent weight. Okay day 1 was well within target.
2. Got a satisfying haircut; invested in some Paul Mitchell.
3. Made the foray into SK-II.
4. Studied for 3.5 hours
Great job for a first day.
Now that one more part of my life is on track, it’s time to get another one on the road to success too.
That is my health. Which has taken a backseat time and again. Really really cannot stand the sight of my mega abdomen and aging skin now! Oh my 25 is truly the start of the slippery slope of degeneration.
Jillian Michaels, it’s me crawling back to you again. SK II, here I come.
My favorite photogs. I may be convinced to have them shoot our special day.
